Finding Alignment: Yoga, CrossFit, Life Off the Mat, and True North

11/16/2024

2024 has been a year unlike any other—a year of transformation, growth, and alignment. Moving to West Chester was more than just a change of scenery; it was the catalyst I needed to upgrade my life in ways I had dreamed about for years. From refining my physical practices to embracing new opportunities, this year has brought everything together in ways that feel almost full circle.

Alignment Across Practices

Yoga and CrossFit might seem like opposite ends of the spectrum, but they have more in common than one might think. Yoga brings a sense of grounding and flow, teaching us to breathe, stay centered, and honor the moment. CrossFit, on the other hand, challenges us to push limits, find resilience, and embrace discomfort for the sake of growth.

Both, however, share a central principle: alignment. In yoga, it's about aligning your body, breath, and mind to flow seamlessly. In CrossFit, it's about aligning movement with purpose—whether it's lifting with perfect form or tackling a workout with intention. Both require focus, dedication, and a willingness to show up, even when it's tough.

Life Off the Mat

What's fascinating is how these principles extend beyond the mat or the gym. Alignment isn't just about physical posture or fitness—it's about living a life that feels true and purposeful. Since moving to West Chester, I've felt this alignment ripple into every aspect of my daily life.

The energy of this vibrant town has inspired me to connect with others more meaningfully, embrace creativity, and fully commit to the person I want to be. Whether it's diving into new challenges, rediscovering old passions, or simply enjoying the community around me, everything feels like it's falling into place—finally matching the vision I've held for so long.

True North and Full Circle Moments

At the core of it all is the idea of True North Alignment (TNA)—a philosophy I've embraced this year that keeps me anchored to my values and moving forward with clarity. TNA is about asking: "Does this feel true to who I am? Does this decision align with the life I'm building?" It's been a guiding light, not only in fitness but in relationships, work, and personal growth.

And then there's the beauty of full circle moments—those times when something clicks, and you realize how much everything has aligned to bring you here. Moving to West Chester has been one of those moments for me. This year, I've reconnected with parts of myself I thought I'd left behind, met incredible people, and seen how the challenges of past years prepared me for this exact point in time. It feels like everything in my life is now aligned for what comes next—a future filled with even deeper connections and new beginnings.

The Year I've Always Wanted

2024 has truly been the upgrade I've desired for years. It's not just about physical strength or milestones achieved—it's about living with intention and seeing how everything, from yoga and CrossFit to off-mat life and True North Alignment, works together.

This website is another reflection of that growth. Now that I've reached the next step in my life after moving to West Chester, I have so much more to share. Updating this site feels like a natural part of my journey, a way to capture and communicate everything I've experienced and learned. And it's not done—more updates will keep coming as I continue to grow and evolve.

As I look toward 2025, I can't help but feel excitement for what's ahead. This upcoming year is shaping up to be out of this world, and I am ready to embrace new opportunities, meaningful adventures, and connections that align with the person I've become. After a year of hard-fought growth and transformation in 2024, I feel prepared to welcome the next chapter of my life—one that continues to build on the foundation I've created, bringing new experiences, deeper relationships, and a sense of fulfillment that complements everything I've worked for.

As I continue this journey, I encourage everyone reading to think about your own alignment. Where are the connections between your passions, values, and life? How can you bring them into harmony to create a life that feels true to you? The answers might surprise you and lead to the kind of full circle moments you'll cherish forever.
