Today, I tried hot yoga for the first time in an All Levels Flow class in a room heated to 90°F. The heat intensified the flow of poses, allowing for deeper stretches—exactly what I expected from hot yoga. Though it was my first time, I knew the class was designed to build both strength and flexibility, and it delivered on that promise.
The instructor gave me a tour before the class, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere immediately put me at ease. It reminded me of the community vibe I get at my CrossFit gym, which helped me feel comfortable, even though I was trying something new.
Hot yoga is as much a mental challenge as a physical one. The heat allowed me to push deeper into the poses, and though it was intense, I felt empowered pushing through it. By the end of the class, I was drenched in sweat but felt accomplished. The flow was both challenging and engaging, pushing my endurance.
After the class, I upgraded from a drop-in to the studio's 21-day pass. This allows me to attend as many sessions as I like over the next few weeks, and it’s a fantastic way to keep improving my practice.
Hot yoga is a full-body workout that tests both strength and flexibility while offering a sense of accomplishment. Despite the intensity, I left the studio feeling rejuvenated. I’m excited to continue and see how far I can go with more sessions, and I’ll definitely be returning.
